Experiencing the loss of loved ones and navigating grief brought up unresolved trauma. Leaving me in emotional turmoil. I lost myself, engaged in behaviours that took me away from who I was at my core. Over time, I found the energy to start my healing process.
Rebuilding is a beautiful mess!
Exploring ways to rebuild myself… I turned inward seeking comfort and clarity through creativity. With nothing but my phone and camera, I began creating images of the world around me. I followed what called to me: light through leaves, quiet corners, textures that felt like emotion. As I walked. I breathed. I slowed down. I began to centre myself through mindful photography using intentional observation and gentle exercises to reconnect with my body, my emotions, and the environment. Each image became a reflection of my healing, a moment of presence, a step toward joy. Over time, I saw nature differently. I saw life differently. What once felt heavy began to feel sacred. The ordinary became beautiful. And with every photo, I felt gratitude blooming again. This practice became more than art it became a pathway to emotional resilience, self-awareness, and connection.
Compassion was the vehicle for repairing the relationship with myself, understanding others, and leading a life of kindness, love, and curiosity.
What did I discover?
We all experience suffering, it shows us how precious and exceptional life is. My experiences have shaped how I navigate life, it is special and our existence should be cherished. CreativelyReflect was created to help people connect with themselves and help nature along the way, without nature we lose ourselves.
